EMPLOYMENT

Ocean City is a thriving resort with a population of 7,173 that increases to
over 300,000 during the summer season. Tourism is a large part of
Worcester county's work force, but there are many other jobs available.
Agriculture and poultry require a number of employees to not only process
but also to transport. Construction is big business in Worcester county. Quite
a few major builders have moved into the area and construction in and
around Ocean City is seen everywhere. As more and more of the homes
being built are for year round residents the need for the service industry is
also escalating. The increase in new, year round, residents is bringing other
industries to the area as well. A steady flow of money from Northern Virginia,
Baltimore, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York is going to make the
need for skilled trades steadily increase.

If you are thinking of moving to the Ocean City area or just need a career
