January 7th through Early March
The mission of Girl Scouting is to build girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place. The Girl Scout program is designed to help each girl achieve her full potential. |
Girl Scouts provides supervised peer groups where girls can meet and make new friends while participating in activities designed to develop self-confidence, foster self-esteem and achieve the skills necessary to make wise life choices and to make the world a better place. Through the Cookie Program, Girl Scouts and their Troops develop a number of skills: goal setting, planning, marketing, budgeting, record-keeping, community relations and, most of all, a sense of responsibility and achievement. They can do whatever they want to do and be whatever they want to be!
The annual Cookie Program supports the work of providing Girl Scouting to girls on the Delmarva Peninsula. The Cookie Program helps fund Council’s operating budget, providing important services such as camp maintenance and programs, girl events and recognitions, program scholarships and group program support, and is also the main source of revenue for the Troops. The program funds services to girls and adult volunteers throughout the year and ensures that Girl Scouting will be available in the future. |

Cookie Sales start January 7, 2011!
Hi everyone,
Cookie time is upon us once again. Our annual training will take place on Wednesday, December 1, 2010@7pm at Choptank Electric in Berlin. It is imperative that all leaders and cookie managers attend. More and more, we are depending on computers and software programs to run the cookie program . . . with it come changes in the way we must do business.
BEFORE you attend the training, PLEASE
- Visit http://vipetraining.littlebrownie.com/ and take the on-line portion of the training.
- After completing all five (5) sections and their related quizzes, visit Your History and print a copy of that page
- Save time and ink! Do not print the certificates for each section – just the Your History page!
- Failure to complete the on-line training prior to the meeting will mean you will have to stay afterward for review of the materials which would have been covered on-line (will take about an hour).
I anticipate the training that evening to take just over an hour.
Thanks for your cooperation. As always please contact me with any questions or concerns.
