LICENSE INFORMATION
Individuals under the age of 16 are not required to obtain a license to sport fish/crab. They can, however,purchase a recreational crab license if they desire to catch the bushel of crabs allowed with that license.
Non-Tidal/Freshwater Fishing License Information:
Resident License: $20.50, Non Resident: $30.50 minimum Allows Maryland residents to fish in the fresh waters of Maryland from January 1 through December 31.
Tidal/Bay Sport Fishing License Information:
Resident License: $15.00 Allows Maryland residents to fish in the Chesapeake Bay and it's tributaries from January 1 through December 31.
Non-Resident License: See below, 5 day only.
Non-Resident 5-Day Bay Sport License: $15.00: Allows a non-resident to fish in the Chesapeake Bay and it's tributaries for 5 consecutive days.
Recreational Crabbing License Information :
Resident Recreational Crabbing License: $5.00 Allows a resident of Maryland to catch crabs for recreational purposes in the waters of the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries using specified gear as described in the link below. Holders of a $9.00 Resident Bay Sport Fishing License or a $5.00 Resident Senior Consolidated Fishing License may obtain this license for $2.00
Non-Resident Recreational Crabbing License: $10.00 Allows a non-resident to catch crabs for recreational purposes in the waters of the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries using specified gear as described in the link below.
Recreational Crabbing Boat License: Resident/Non-Resident: $15.00 Allows anyone on board a vessel to catch crabs for recreational purposes anywhere in the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries using specified gear as described in the link below.
